Knee Cartilage Injury

What is knee cartilage injury?

The cartilage that covers the knee joint should be tough and rubbery. The surface of the knee cartilage may tear or have deep lesions due to be direct blow, high impact sports, ageing, obesity. Symptoms of knee cartilage injury may include pain from climbing stairs/squatting, or swelling/stiffness in the knee from walking, or ‘popping’ or ‘cracking’ sound in the knee.
